Showcasing our students’ talents is always a pleasure. Fifth grade students lead by Mrs. Melissia Johnson, the Fine Arts teacher, had the honor of being the first performance at Old Fashion Days in a rendition of “Sing for America.”
These students made great strides fine tuning their musical skills for their patriotic performance. Not only did they learn how to read music, but they gained knowledge regarding American History. Our Nation’s rich heritage teaches us lessons about the birth of our country, its struggles and triumphs, and our Nation’s values. Over hundreds of years, Americans have recorded these milestones in many ways including through music. What better way to celebrate than through songs?
