W.C.M.S. Students Support Cancer Patients

Over 13,500 bottles of water gathered at W.C.M.S.

W.C.M.S. students and staff gathered nearly 13,500 bottles of water during the week of March 25-29, 2019.  The water will be donated to the American Cancer Society Hope Lodge in Lexington, Kentucky.  The lodge provides a free home away from home for cancer patients and their caregivers

W.C.M.S. homerooms were presented with a challenge to bring in the most water and the winners will be rewarded with a dessert buffet.  The 7th grade homeroom winner was Mr. Henson’s homeroom, which gathered 4,860 bottles of water.  The 8th grade homeroom winner was Mr. Gibbins’ homeroom, which gathered 2,680 bottles of water.

Thanks to each person who donated water.  There will be numerous cancer patients and their families who will benefit from your kindness and effort.
