Over Christmas Break, the DataseamGrid residing in schools statewide will be running cancer research on proteins which stop the function of the two genes found in all cancers. Please be sure to leave Dataseam IMacs powered on in our schools.
The DataseamGrid provides a majority of the drug discovery infrastructure available to the 30 research teams at the University of Louisville Brown Cancer Center. These researchers have used this to create a drug discover pipeline of 50 new potential anticancer drugs. Dataseam is a Kentucky-based company funded by the Commonwealth and the General Assembly to grow Kentucky-based cancer therapies, provide workforce development and training, and facilitate the identification of students to fill the Dataseam Scholars program offered by both the University of Louisville and Morehead State University.
