Pinpoint
MATH: Pinpoint Math consists of
6 separate volumes. Students take a
pre-test with each volume. After students have taken a pre-test, a conference
is held with the student to inform them of the lessons they will need to
complete to master all topics. Once all
topics in the volume have been completed, the student then takes a post-test to
ensure mastery. When the student
displays mastery of one volume, they proceed on to the next volume.
ASSIGNMENTS/HOMEWORK:
Although students may be on different
topics, every student is
to complete at least one lesson IN CLASS and one lesson out of
class for HOMEWORK. Lessons
consist of parts A, B, and C. Part A and B guide the students with models and
examples while part C combines information from both A and B. Although part C does not contain any examples
students may refer to the examples in A and B if needed.
PARENT
NOTIFICATION: Every Friday,
students will have a weekly assessment.
The assessment consists of PKA discussed during the week. Periodically,
students are given a common assessment.
The common assessment will have cumulative problems covered thus
far. Every Monday, students are given their assessment results
which are to be signed and returned the following day.
